Contact Kimber at (740) 652-4422 or (614) 321-4833 ext 103, to see if the desired venue is available and to make sure that there is no FCPD event at the same time or other usage conflict. You will be asked to fill out and return the Rental Agreement form along with any applicable security deposit and/or rental fee. Reservations are not guaranteed until confirmation is sent by Fairfield County Park District.

Keep in mind, even though a covered bridge is reserved, the park is open to the public and it is possible someone may “crash your party.” Most people recognize a private event is taking place and courteously avoid the reserved area. There has never been a complaint reported to us, but it is a possibility to be considered when using an open-to-the-public park for a private event.

Public Events/Special Permits

Special events, such as fairs, festivals, and farmers markets, or any private or public event that is sponsored by a group or business other than Fairfield County Park District require a permit. Call our office to discuss the requirements, insurance, fees, etc.

Commercial Photography

Everyone is welcome to take photographs at any of our locations. However, the use of our parks to set up a commercial photography session in which the photographer is receiving compensation and/or blocking access to a certain area of a park for any period of time requires permission.

Drone Permit Policy

Pursuant to Fairfield County Park District’s Rules & Regulations (effective January 1, 2019), no drones may be operated in any Fairfield County Park District (FCPD) property without a permit. The Director or his/her designee is authorized to issue permits for the operation of drones in accordance with the Drone Permit Policy (adopted February 8, 2021).

Geocaching

Have fun geocaching in our parks! Find us on geocaching.com as ExploreFCPD.

Geocache Hiding Guidelines state anyone hiding a geocache must “have all necessary permissions from the landowner or land manager to hide your geocache at that location.” Additionally, “In the case of public property, you must get permission from the agency or association that manages the land.”

Because Fairfield County Park District (FCPD) places geocaches in our parks, we ask that others not hide caches in any FCPD-owned or FCPD-managed property. Unauthorized caches will be reported to geocaching.com.  If you have questions, call 740 652-4422 or 614 321-4833 ext 103.

Metal Detecting Policy

Pursuant to Fairfield County Park District’s Rules & Regulations (effective January 1, 2019), no metal detecting equipment may be operated in any Fairfield County Park District (FCPD) property without a permit. The Director or his/her designee is authorized to issue permits for the operation of such equipment in accordance with the Metal Detecting Equipment Operation Permit Policy (adopted March 12, 2021).

Child Drop-Off & Emergency Care

At some of our programs, parents are allowed to leave children during the activities. This form gives us permission to allow a child to self-administer medications or call for emergency care if it is not possible to reach the parent.

Forms will be available at sign-up. Printable PDF form coming soon.
