Interpretive Historian, Jack Campbell, will be at Lockville Canal Park to share interesting information about the Ohio & Erie Canal and how it shaped Ohio’s history.  Without the Ohio & Erie Canal, St John’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Lancaster may not have stained glass windows!  Come, find out why!

Reservations are handled through Eventbrite. It is not necessary to sign up for an Eventbrite account. If you do, you will be able to review, change, or cancel reservations online. Otherwise, changes can be made by calling Marcey Shafer at 740-243-4436. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation so that your ticket may be offered to another person.

Pandemic-related Reminder

To provide in-person programs, Fairfield County Park District is required to adhere to COVID safety guidelines that were approved by Fairfield County Health Department.  These guidelines state that we must limit the number of participants and that everyone – staff, volunteers, and participants – must practice social distancing.  A mask covering both mouth and nose must be worn while participating in any in-person program.  If you cannot or will not wear a mask, please enjoy one of our programs at a time when there is no public emergency alert in Fairfield County.

Level 3 (Red) Public Health Emergency Alert

Fairfield County is currently at a Level 3 (Red) Public Health Emergency Alert due to the pandemic.  If the status is changed to a Level 4 (Purple) and/or there is extreme inclement weather, the event will be canceled or postponed.  Follow our Calendar of Events for updates.
