What do you think of when you hear “bee home?” If you thought of a hive, you’re not alone! European honey bees do live in hives, but most of our native bee species live alone. Join the Education Specialist to learn more and create your own bee home using recycled materials.
Free, family-friendly event. Materials for the craft are provided.
Where to Meet
Cruit House, the log-framed house. Drop in anytime between 1:00-3:00 p.m. Keep in mind pets are not allowed inside Cruit House; see more about pets, below.

REMINDERS
What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. If you plan to spend time at the park before or after the program, depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
Pets
Pets are not allowed inside Cruit House. They are welcome outside at Smeck Park. Pets must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
If Severe Weather is Forecast
If severe weather is forecast or before traveling a long distance to attend, it is recommended you check to be sure the program has not been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled.
